Hi millennial farmer my father had a similar problem with string but on our rotary dung spreader( manure spreader) we’re in the U.K. so he made tool to get them out without have to climb in and get all mucky it was made from 1/4 inch rod his need to be 3 feet long but just make to suitable length for your requirements so he formed a handle on one end just by bending it then on the other end he formed a hook about 1- 1 1/4 inches across then ground the tip into an angled point so that he could hook out the cord the only mod I can think of seeing as you have a gas torch you could form a sharp edge on the inside curve of the hook to allow you to cut the string in situ

I'm a farmer in Wales UK.no time for home schooling. My wife works 12-13 hour shifts in a care home ,and I'm working sunrise to sunset while trying to raise a 3 year old girl, she loves it but gets really tired,its amazing the places they can fall asleep. I feel guilty but the work has to get done, and she is missing out in her education.
