I doubt you respond to this comment, but I have been watching your channel from the very beginning with great interest. The reason is I grew up on a family farm in the 1960's and 1970's and saw nothing but decline after that time. Today it is virtually impossible to make a family farm work. I am also very interested in technology knowing many of the biggest IRmysrs in the world (Faze Rug) who has made countless videos with my daughter Molly Eskam who has almost 600,000 subs. I noticed that some farmers were starting IRmys and saw they were getting big views, One Lonely Farmer being the first I followed, but your channel has more appeal and you have a better sense of humor than Wes. Anyway the point of this comment is to encourage other farmers to start social media, the future is not farming. I believe soon you will quit farming to do youtube full time and run the farm as a simple prop for your videos. Good Luck!

You reach the pinnacle of farming when you buy a Grain Truck for your farm and your wife specifies that it must have power steering. Such as my mom told my dad in 1970. Lol she had been driving an IH 1953 or 54 model 1and 1/2 ton grain truck.

Last summer I got to run my cousins tractor on his farm mowed 23 acres and loved every minute of it hoping to help him run hay next summer

For go pro mounting you may want to look at magnet mounts. I'm using them on our box truck to mount lights and reverse cameras and they do not move at all. Amazon has a good variety.

Life hack Zach and it always worked for my grandpa and my day in Nebraska because we would have some sticky soil. WD-40 on the wheels will keep the mud off the planter.

Just a thought and probably a stupid one but in logging we use a wheel for measuring logs that’s corrugated that cleans out bark so could you not run something like that instead of those smooth wheels that hold the sticky mud ?

Maybe a compressed air unit, self powered--could blast away sticky dirt, thru jets not interfering with the operation itself. that is, as the wheels are not revolving thru a working position, the compressed air could clean the surfaces.

We plant 12 on SF2 (not rtf) and combine 8, and it’s not really an issue, but we do not have rowsense

Turkey’s eating leftovers from last year...I’m not a farmer, but I have many gardens, I purchased 30 bales of straw last that I use for mulching and compost making to be used next year, and I noticed that the straw has a lot of residue kernels still on the stalks...there appears to be a lot of waste happening when harvesting as the stalks are not clean. Can you comment on the cause...equipment etc.

We have a different kind of closing wheel on our planter and the difference between the newer and original closing wheels. The difference we see in the growth of the corn. I'll have to show you a pic of closing wheels and our homemade twin row corn planter.
