For garage leak you can make a concrete ditch with bars on top of a ditch parallel with garage. Then put some simple pipe underground connected on the lowest point of the ditch to drain water to the area that you find suitable.

This made me think of the time I was helping my neighbor throw some small squares of grass hay out of his barn. All of a sudden from from the back of the barn he yells "oh crap" like something is seriously wrong. When I asked him what happened he said he found some new kittens. That was a let down.
