When you get a blockage in a tube, { as at 16 minutes} why not use a cheap drain snake to run into the tube and see if you can grind it out. Probably get one at Harbor Freight that will hook up to a cordless drill. Just sayin' Love your vids

Don’t put on anhydrous in the fall. Most of it is gone by spring/summer. Creates pollution and costs money. He must be listening to the local fertilizer guy looking to sell product. Two applications during next growing season would be better.

I’ve strip tilled since 1995, exclusively for corn since 2000. Fall strip till or tillage of any kind is tough enough and you guys see winter before us. I’m about 70 miles south of Worthington MN in Iowa. It was immediately apparent your residue managers where too deep and cover disks too narrow. If you had been running ammonia and freezing knives into balls you would have been even more frustrated. It is difficult in wet conditions to run nice strips in tough soils. The set up has to let the soil flow through. Speed can kill in that equation as well. I don’t dual place dry fertilizer so don’t know how to operate an air cart. If I go that direction it would be a Montag system. It appears your fertilizer tender must have to work hard to hit those small cart tank openings. Best of luck, and enjoy your shows. My ? is, How did that strip tiller work for the previous owner? As much adjusting you did to it, there is no way it worked for him. i don't think i would like the adjusting bolts on that thing, a few years of fertilizer, they won't work to good. I would also put green rollers in front meter so it runs a little faster. I sympathize with you, i have a jd cart like yours, we never can get it calibrated accurately. I run a Fargo Air/amity cart for fertilizer. Its much easier to run.

Spray your discs with Pam no stick oil, works like a charm :--) its the moisture in the soil that causes it.

I can tell you or possibly show you how to fix that air cart so it will work reliably. That air cart has intrinsic design flaws that we in industrial product moving gave up on decades ago. Write me you youtube if you are interested. Yes, major modifications but, not difficult ones.

@Millennial Farmer i will never stop watching your videos, so I can look back on this and say Zach is how I leaned stuff on a farm, I am 15 now and I am going to be a farmer, however I’m ONLY 15 so i have a hot minute until I go to WVU for agriculture, without you Zach I would go to college for ag not knowing anything but thanks to you I will walk in knowing a little bit what I’m doing, I love your videos, I don’t live on a farm yet but I will obviously, I live in Spotsylvania Virginia however I’m gonna move to West Virginia to start a farm near the rest of my family, I will most likely use deere, massey, or new holland, I actually can’t wait to farm, it’s not a job if I love what I’m doing and I know I’ll love farming wish me luck, thanks Zach for all that you do for me and everybody else!
